I'm taking part in The Big Marsden Trek

Hi, I’m Sam and I’m a medical student at St George’s fundraising for the Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre.

In the short time since joining the Marsden as a healthcare assistant, I've been struck by the sense of goodwill and warmth, of shared endeavour and teamwork, united to maximise quality and quantity of life of people with cancers, with earlier detection and and more individualised treatments.

These volunteers and patients are amongst the most inspirational people I've had the privilege of working with. I’ll join some of them on the along way, a 26 mile walking marathon across the north downs. Any re-shares or chippings in are greatly appreciated!
