When they described the Trek as 'tough", the Marsden team weren't joking. But after 10 solid hours completeing the challenges of the North Downs and North Surrey countryside, we crossed the finish line, very proud of our achievement! Pam was the most brilliant walking companion every step of the way - thank you for your friendship and being a fabulous team mate. And a huge thank you to my sister Bernisi, who not only delivered us to the start line in Dorking at 6.15am, she met us at every check point with refreshments and kit! Thank you for giving up your day to support us! And a huge thank you to everyone who sponsored our challenge. The grand total for the Marsden Trek currently stands at £480,000 and we're hoping to break £500k over the coming days!

We're three weeks out and the training is going well!

Hello everyone!
Yes, it's only 3 weeks until Pam and I take on the challenge of the Marsden Trek, a full length cross country walking marathon in the beautiful Surrey countryside.
Having trained for several weeks through the summer heatwaves, both Pam and I are hopeful that the weather on the day will be far cooler than of late. 
And as the temperatures in the South East have finally dropped, our next training session will include tackling the climb up Box Hill, which will be the highest point on the marathon route.
