I'm taking part in The Big Marsden Trek

On Sunday 13th September, my friend Rae and I are both walking 26.2 miles in from Dorking to The Royal Marsden in Sutton. It's across open countryside (many hills), and it will be a real endurance challenge for both of us. Needless to say, it's the furthest either of us have walked in one go, and we are furiously googling how long it takes to walk 26.2 miles.

We're doing it to support The Royal Marsden Hospital which provides a range of diagnosis, treatment and care services for patients with different types of cancer, including cancers specific to children and young people. 

I know times are tough at the moment, in different ways, but if you are able to support us, we would really appreciate it!

Hello all

I'm a few days late in writing this post, but I'm really happy (and exhausted) to say that Rae and I completed the trek on Sunday for The Royal Marsden. It was the hardest physical challenge either of us have done. It was hill after hill after hill for hour upon hour. It was incredibly tough, though we did manage to enjoy ourselves too, and eventually after 10 hours 14 mins, we crossed the finish line! We came 277 & 278 out of 667, so we didn't do too badly at all!

Thank you all for your support and generous donations. Seeing how much was raised for such a great cause really kept us going throughout the day and we really appreciate it.
