🐿️ Day 6 - More Cricket, More Steps
The cricket tour continued and provided another opportunity to add to the step count. One of the joys of getting out for a walk is never knowing who you might bump into.

🏏 Day 5 - Cricket Tour Begins
The Squirrels Cricket Tour got underway at Thrumpton. As part of playing in two T20 matches, I made sure to get a few extra laps in by walking the boundary edge whenever possible. Every run saved and every step gained!

🚶 Commercial Red-Hot Steppers - Walk 50K Challenge Update

Friday 4th Sep

The first few days of the Nationwide Walk 50K Challenge are complete, and I'm discovering that every step really does count!

Day 1 ❤️
Celebrated our wedding anniversary with a walk around the reservoir followed by a stroll through the beautiful Coton Manor Gardens. A perfect start to the challenge.

Day 2 🛒
Swapped online shopping for a trip to Sainsbury's and made sure to walk every aisle. Groceries purchased and extra steps banked!

Day 3 🎒
With it being the first day of school, I ditched the car and walked instead. A great way to start the school year while adding to the 50K target.

Day 4 ☔
The weather tried its best to stop me with a rainy school walk, but the challenge continued. I also parked at what felt like the furthest corner of the NAC car park, practically on the beach! To top it off, I managed to leave my Nationwide pass in my rain jacket, adding even more unexpected steps to the day's total.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported the challenge so far. Every donation helps support the incredible work of The Royal Marsden Charity and keeps me motivated to keep walking, whatever the weather.

Every step counts, even the unplanned ones! 👣
