walking 50k in memory and hope
Friday 7th AugThis year, I’m taking on a 50K walk to raise money for cancer research — and this challenge means a lot to me personally.
I’m doing this in memory of my friend’s mum, who sadly passed away from cancer last year. Losing someone to cancer is incredibly difficult, and while I can’t change what happened, I can do something to honour her memory and help support a cause that could make a difference to others in the future.
I’m also walking for everyone who is currently going through cancer — for those fighting, for their families and loved ones, and for everyone hoping for better treatments, earlier diagnoses and, ultimately, a future where fewer people have to experience this loss.
50K is going to be a challenge, but every step will have a purpose. I’ll be thinking of those we’ve lost, those still fighting, and the people who stand beside them every step of the way.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, I would be incredibly grateful. Every donation will help support cancer research and bring us one step closer to better outcomes for those affected by this terrible disease.
And if you can’t donate, simply sharing my fundraising page or sending some encouragement on the day would mean so much.
50K. One cause. So many people worth walking for. ❤️
Thank you for supporting me and, more importantly, for supporting everyone affected by cancer.
