I'm taking part in this challenge because I think The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity is a truly wonderful cause. Cancer affects so many of us, whether personally or through family, friends or colleagues, and I wanted to do something, however small, to help support the incredible work they do.
The Royal Marsden provides world-leading care, funds pioneering research and helps develop life-saving treatments that benefit patients not just in the UK, but around the world. Any small contribution we can make helps them continue that work.
I'd be incredibly grateful to anyone who would like to support me on this journey. Every donation, no matter the size, will help make a difference and, together, we can hopefully play a small part in helping The Royal Marsden continue to provide outstanding care, support patients and their families, and drive forward vital cancer research.
Thank you for your support and encouragement. It really does mean a lot to me. 💙🏃♀️

Thank You for Supporting My Royal Marsden Challenge!
Monday 5th OctI wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported me throughout my Royal Marsden fundraising challenge.
When I started this challenge, my goal was to raise £100 and complete 50km. Thanks to the incredible generosity and encouragement of colleagues, friends and family, I am delighted to share that I not only raised £174, but I also managed to run a collective 100km, doubling the distance target I originally set myself!
Every donation, message of support and word of encouragement helped keep me motivated, especially on those days when getting out for a run felt a little tougher than usual. Knowing that we were raising money for such an amazing cause made every kilometre worthwhile.
A special mention must go to our cake sale, which was a huge success and contributed significantly towards the fundraising total. Thank you to Angela, Jo and Matt's daughter for generously donating their baking talents and providing a fantastic selection of treats. Your time, effort and delicious creations were very much appreciated.
Thank you also to everyone who bought cakes, made donations, and enjoyed a little sweetness while supporting a great cause. Your generosity helped me exceed the fundraising target and make a real difference.
I'm incredibly proud of what we've achieved together. Raising £174 and completing 100km was far more than I ever expected when I first signed up, and that's entirely down to the support I received from all of you.
Thank you once again for helping me support The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. Your kindness, generosity and encouragement mean so much. 💙🏃♀️🍰
Halfway There!
Wednesday 16th SepWell, I've reached a milestone this week!
I've now completed 50km! and secondly, and perhaps even more importantly, I've reached my fundraising target of £100.
I wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated, encouraged me, or simply asked how the challenge is going. Your support has genuinely kept me motivated, especially on those days when the sofa seemed far more appealing than putting on my running shoes!
Reaching £100 means I've achieved the fundraising goal I set myself at the start of this challenge, and I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make that happen. More importantly, every donation is helping to support the fantastic work carried out by The Royal Marsden.
Cancer is something that affects so many of us. Whether we've experienced it ourselves or supported a loved one through it, most people know someone whose life has been touched by this disease. That's why charities like The Royal Marsden are so important. The care, treatment, research and support they provide make a real difference to countless patients and their families every day.
Although I've reached both my fundraising target and the halfway point of my running challenge, I'm not stopping here. There are still plenty more kilometres to run before the end of the month, and I'm going to keep pushing myself to see what more I can achieve.
In a way, that feels quite fitting. The incredible staff, researchers and patients at The Royal Marsden don't stop when they reach one goal, they keep striving for better outcomes, new treatments and brighter futures. Compared to what they do every day, running a few extra kilometres feels like a very small challenge indeed.
So, onwards to the next 50km!
Thank you again for all your support. It really does mean the world to me.
