Cancer is such a difficult word to hear, it strikes fear into anyone that is given that word as a diagnosis, as well as to the people that love that person. 

I have unfortunately heard it too many times from both my family and friends and watch as those I love fight this horrible disease. Only today I have had a friend tell me that one of their family has been given this news and again I have struggled to know what to say or what to do. 

I would like to think that I am there for them to listen, support, have a cry or make them laugh. But I know I also need to do more to help. If I can raise money by walking 50k in September, that is one small step that I can make to try and get more money to fund research into being able to find cures and offer support for this awful disease that impacts one in every two of us. 

So please donate whatever you can to help this extremely worthwhile charity, which really resonates with me and my immediate family at the moment more than ever. Thank you.
