Across the finish line

Friday 2nd Oct
We made it across the finish line - 50kms walked and £150 raised! Thank you to everyone that donated and cheered me on. This money will help Royal Marsden Cancer Charity help more people living with cancer and create better cancer treatments. 

Squirrels!

Thursday 17th Sep
Half way through our challenge and the kms are adding up. Thank you so much to all those that have donated so far. The £130 raised so far could help support 2 clinical trials at The Royal Marsden and help fund state-of-the-art equipment to provide faster & more accurate diagnoses and treatment for cancer patients. 

Almost as exciting was spotting a red squirrel on a walk through the woods behind our house. 
"An estimated 140,000 to 160,000 red squirrels remain in the UK, with roughly 75% living in Scotland." (Google AI). 
Star spent quite a bit of time trying to catch it as it laughed at us from the tree tops. Red squirrel spotting has become my new hobby!

Monday 7th Sep
My tireless teammate Star and I got off to an enthusiastic start despite the rain on day 1. We ticked off the first few kms for this incredible cause. Walk 2 filled the time I usually spend doom scrolling waiting for one of my wildling's (aka sons) activities to finish and got us a sponsorship promise too. Walk 3 explored our neighbouring woodlands and delivered excellent views over farm & Forth.
