Why are we walking?

In September, we'll be taking on the Royal Marsden Trek in honour of our incredible friend, Jane.

Jane is the definition of strength, resilience, and a true free spirit. After being diagnosed with a brain tumour in June last year, she faced every challenge with remarkable courage. Along the way, she began writing poetry to help process her journey. Her words have inspired not only her family and friends but also the doctors and nurses who have cared for her.

Since her diagnosis, Jane has undergone major brain surgery, followed by radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and a pioneering drug trial. Even when her treatment was temporarily halted by a severe shingles infection that led to another stay in hospital, her determination never wavered. Through every setback, she has continued to face each day with hope, courage, and an unwavering spirit.

We're walking to raise money as a heartfelt thank you to the extraordinary teams at The Royal Marsden. Their skill, compassion, dedication, and support have made it possible for Jane to continue enjoying life and creating precious memories with the people she loves.

Every donation, no matter the size, will help The Royal Marsden continue its life-changing research and outstanding patient care, giving hope to countless families facing cancer and complex illnesses.
