Why the marsden trek
This year, I am taking on the Royal Marsden Trek, a 26.2-mile hike, to raise money for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
As someone who works within the Bob Champion Unit at The Royal Marsden, I have the privilege of seeing first-hand the incredible care, dedication, and expertise that our teams provide to patients and their families every day. Cancer affects so many lives, and I am continually inspired by the courage and resilience shown by the people we support.
The funds raised through this trek will help The Royal Marsden continue to deliver world-leading research, innovative treatments, and outstanding patient care. Every donation contributes towards improving outcomes and experiences for people affected by cancer.
Walking 26.2 miles will certainly be a challenge, but it is nothing compared to the challenges faced by our patients. I am proud to be taking part and helping to support a cause that is so close to my heart.
Thank you for your support. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference.
Together, we can help The Royal Marsden continue to transform the lives of cancer patients now and in the future.

Progress so far
Thursday 30th JulI won’t be doing it alone. My friend Noah will be joining me every step of the way as we take on this marathon-distance trek together, raising funds to support the incredible work carried out by The Royal Marsden Cancer Hospital.
Working within the Bob Champion Unit at The Royal Marsden, I see first-hand the difference that world-class cancer care, research, and innovation make to the lives of patients and their families. Every day, patients face challenges that require immense courage and determination. Their resilience is a constant source of inspiration and one of the reasons I wanted to take on this challenge.
Over the coming months, Noah and I will be putting in plenty of training miles to prepare for the trek. Early mornings, long weekend walks, sore feet, and countless miles on the trails will all be part of the journey. As well as too and from the pub, i'm sure. While the training will test us physically and mentally, it is a small sacrifice compared to what so many cancer patients endure throughout their treatment.
The money raised will help The Royal Marsden continue to deliver life-saving research, develop pioneering treatments, and provide exceptional care for patients both now and in the future. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a meaningful difference.
We're taking on 26.2 miles because we believe that together we can help support the fight against cancer. We would be incredibly grateful for your support as we prepare for this challenge.
Thank you for helping us make every step count. ❤️
