I'm taking part in The Big Marsden Trek

Taking on the Royal Marsden Marathon Trek is so much more than just a physical challenge for me, it’s so hugely personal.

I’m walking in memory of two incredibly special people who sadly lost their battles with cancer.

My Gramps, John, was diagnosed with prostate cancer and fought with so much strength for 10 years before losing his fight in June 2014. He was such an important part of my life, and not a day goes by where I don’t think about him.

I’m also walking in memory of my boyfriend’s cousin, Abi, who bravely battled Eye Melanoma. Abi fought for 3 years and sadly lost her fight in September 2023. Her strength and the impact she had on those around her will never be forgotten.

Every mile that I walk on the day will remind me of the amazing people they both were.
