Reason

As many of you already know, our Dad was diagnosed at the end of April with a grade 4 butterfly glioma tumour. The initial prognosis was devastating, and at first we were told that no treatment options were available, leaving us with very little hope. 

Thankfully, a consultant at The Royal Marsden saw something more in him and offered a treatment plan that has given us a little bit of hope, hope for more precious time together as a family.

This journey has been truly heartbreaking and life-changing for all of us. Watching someone we love go through this is incredibly difficult, but we are holding on to every moment we have.

To show our gratitude and support for the hospital that has given us this chance, Dan, Chelsea and I have signed up to take part in the Big Marsden Trek this September along with some of our favourite people. We want to help raise funds so they can continue their incredible work and give other families the same hope we’ve been given.

The hospital staff have been truly incredible, we can’t always attend the appointments but they send us an email to let us know what is happening or with any updates. They reply all hours to any queries or concerns we have.
