Walk 50K in September
Those who know me know I'm not one to shy away from a challenge. So while most sensible people are taking on the Walk 50K Challenge, I've decided to aim for 100K.
As part of that, I'll be walking a full marathon (26.2 miles) in a single day. To put that into context, those who know me really well will know my average daily step count is somewhere around 2,000, mainly made up of trips between my desk and food, and then back to my desk again. Doesn’t exactly scream “endurance athlete”, does it?
My mum has also kindly informed me that I can't do it. That's probably the most motivating thing she could have said.
I'm taking on this challenge to support The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, which funds world-leading cancer care and groundbreaking research that helps patients and families across the UK and beyond.
If you'd like to support me, I'd be incredibly grateful. Every donation will help The Royal Marsden continue its vital work and will make every one of those 100 kilometres feel a little more worthwhile.
