I'm Cycling 500km in September
Throughout September, I'll be cycling 500km around Blackpool and the Fylde Coast in support of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
As someone who isn't a regular cyclist and is carrying a bit of extra weight, this is going to be a real personal challenge. I'll be fitting rides around work, home life and my football, aiming to get out on the bike five days a week and cover an average of around 24km per ride.
To make things even more interesting, for every £100 donated, I'll add another 10km to my target. That means every donation not only supports an incredible cause but also makes the challenge that little bit tougher for me!
I'm taking part in this challenge to support The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. They ensure The Royal Marsden's world-leading nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world.
By donating to my page, you're helping to make a significant difference to the lives of cancer patients and their loved ones.
I'll be keeping everyone updated throughout September and will do my best to post regular progress updates on the page, including how many kilometres I've completed, the routes I've taken and how close I am to the ever-growing target.
Every donation, no matter the size, is hugely appreciated and will help keep me motivated as I work towards completing the challenge.
Thank you for your support. Let's see how far you can make me cycle!
🚴 Starting target: 500km
💷 Every £100 raised: +10km
🎯 Goal: Raise as much as possible for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity while pushing myself to complete every kilometre and lose a few pounds.
