I'm taking part in The Big Marsden Trek
I’m taking on the Royal Marsden Marathon Trek in memory of my dear friend and colleague Russell Hedgecock. Russ and I worked together at Legal & General for 40 years, he was one of life’s truly good people — kind, loyal, funny, and loved by everyone who knew him.
He was a devout fan of Brighton & Hove Albion!
Russ was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and given a very short prognosis, yet thanks to the extraordinary care at The Royal Marsden, he lived more than seven precious years. That extra time gave Russ more precious moments with his beloved wife Sharon, the joy of seeing both his sons get married, and the chance to become a proud grandad to three beautiful granddaughters. He was a medical miracle, and I want to honour his courage and the hospital that gave him those extra years. Every step I take is for Russ — and every donation helps The Royal Marsden continue its life‑changing work.
Any donation, no matter how small, will be greatly received and keep my feet moving along the way!
Thank you so much Theresa. The treatment Russell received at the Royal Marsden gave him more precious time with his family and friends. They do remarkable work
