Walk 4
Friday 5th Sep Managed to beat the rain and do 3km today. A good start to the day as feel too tired in the afternoon. Share
Walk 3
Wednesday 3rd Sep Managed to get out and about this morning before the rain began. 3km completed and a chance to chat to a couple of dog walker friends on my final lap.

How will I try to complete 50km in just a month?
Friday 15th Aug I'm a much slower walker nowadays and I have issues with my balance which has meant I've had a number of tumbles in the last year. Nevertheless, I'll take my trusty stick and try and do small routes, regularly. My daughter has kindly walked and measured some local routes for me, using technology that I know I won't understand! I will keep a record of these and try to report back on here when I can - hoping I can remember how to post these messages! Share
Why try a sponsored walk?
Friday 15th AugShareI recently lost my dog, who was my lifeline for getting out-and-about and to seeing people. Since he died, I've found it much harder to get out and can't inspire myself to get the exercise that I (we all) need. I saw an advert for this walk and realised this was exactly the inspiration I needed. Hopefully, with sponsorship, I will raise money for a good cause and have the pressure of getting into a regular walking habit.

Why The Royal Marsden?
Friday 15th Aug My mum's breast cancer was detected at the Royal Marsden Hospital. The following surgery gave her another 36 years of quality life. Because of this, I became a regular patient for 30+ years. Grateful thanks for the people who work there. This is my small way of helping to repay them. ShareThank you to my Sponsors
