The Marsden Big Trek in memory of our Mum.

Thursday 21st May

I have set myself a challenge (a crazy one) and that is to trek 26.2 miles, on the 13th September 2026, across through stunning open countryside from Dorking to the The Royal Marsden in Sutton in memory of our Mum, Coral.

My brother and I lost our Mum to Oesophageal cancer five years ago and at the time (during covid) it was hard to visit my Mum at the Marsden but the team of Doctors and Nurses looked after her everyday and night.

My Mum was a kind, caring, bubbly lady, and loved being around her family and friends. As five years have passed, she will always remain in our hearts and our thoughts and no doubt, she is missed everyday by all.

Cancer touches nearly every family in some way. For many people, The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity represents more than a hospital charity — it represents hope, research, compassion, and life-saving care.

I’m proud to be taking part in the Big Marsden Trek (with my friend Sophia, who also recently lost her father in law to cancer) to help raise funds for people affected by cancer. Every step we take is for those battling this disease, for survivors, and for families who have been impacted.

Cancer touches so many lives, and I want to do my part to support the incredible work being done to provide care, research, and hope.

If you’re able to, please consider donating — no amount is too small, and every contribution makes a difference and is greatly appreciated. Your support will help motivate Soph and I through every mile of this journey!

Thank you so much for your kindness and support. 🤍
