Royal Marsden 50k challenge!

Royal Marsden 50km, complete!

Saturday 20th Sep
Thank you for everyone who donated to such a wonderful cause!

Thank you to Kev Jones & Brock Holcombe for the comradeship!  🙌🏻

Luckly the rain filled day held off until the last two miles, and by that point, it was very much welcome!

Never have I looked forward to a bath as much as I did the last stretch!

Day 1

Monday 1st Sep
As the month is now here I will do my best to be more vocal about my training efforts! I would say I am well on track, with a few more longer runs before the big day on the 27th!

I have noticed my strava running account is linked so all my runs this month will add to my total kilometres covered towards the 50km target, but rest assure I will still publish the results of the big day in which hopefully I can cover the full distance of 50km in one run!!

Thank all you lovely people for your kind support!!

First long training run

Saturday 26th Jul
The plan was to control my heart rate throughout, last two miles were mostly off topic as I accelerated to get home for Joanna going work (still didn’t make it 🤣), so was overall happy with that the majority of time was spent in Zone 3, especially due to the ever changing gradients on the route. Who knew there were so many hills around! 😬
