My Updates

Mile 11, 12 & 13

Saturday 10th Jan
Chilly, but dry lunchtime jog. Another 3 miles done and dusted. Happy Saturday everyone!

Mile 8, 9 & 10

Friday 9th Jan
3 slow, but solid miles on the treadmill in the gym this morning. Feeling a lot better than the weather. Wrap up warm for the rest of the day. Getting it done!

Mile 5,6 & 7

Monday 5th Jan
What a stunning day. Cold and sunny! Legs started to feel a bit more comfortable, so pushed for a very slow 3 miles today. Banking them as the weather won’t be so nice later in the week.

Mile 4

Sunday 4th Jan
Really chilly and icy out there today, but logged another mile for the challenge on my way to lunch with friends.

Miles 2 & 3

Friday 2nd Jan
A bit more power walk than jog on the icy pavements, but another 2 miles done today and finished off with a walk.

Mile 1

Thursday 1st Jan
Today I jogged my first mile in months! I was surprised at how far it is and nearly didn’t make it, but persevered and got it done. Finished the 5km walking. Back again tomorrow.

Why am I doing this?

Wednesday 31st Dec
This time last year, I was diagnosed with cancer. It was caught very early and treated quickly. The brilliant staff at Royal Marsden helped me through a truly frightening experience with their smiles, patience and professionalism. The work they do saves lives and so this year I’d like to give a little back.
