I'm taking part in The Big Marsden Trek
Hello I’m Hasandhi, Growing up, I watched my parents regularly donate to a cancer hospital in Sri Lanka. Seeing the kindness and support they gave to people affected by cancer really stayed with me. It showed me from a young age how even a small act of kindness can make a difference in someone’s life. I’ve decided to take part in this walk as it’s very close to my heart.As a nurse, caring for people and supporting them through difficult moments is also a big part of my career. This walk feels like a special way to bring together something personal to me, something I believe in, and the work I hope to continue doing throughout my career.
Moreover I will be turning 21 on the 28th of September which is going to be like the beginning of a new chapter, and I wanted to celebrate it by doing something that challenges me physically , while also making a positive difference to others.
