šāāļø Walk 50K Challenge ā Day 1: Treadmill Triumph with My Teammate
Monday 1st SepDay 1 is doneāand I'm off to a great start!Ā Today, I kicked off the Walk 50K Challenge not out in the wild, but right where I feel most focused:Ā on the treadmill at the gym, with my wife walking beside me every step of the way.
I coveredĀ 7.21 kilometers. Thereās something motivating about sharing the challenge with someoneāespecially when that someone is your biggest supporter. The gym buzzed with energy, but having her next to me made the time fly.
šļøāāļø The Setup
We picked two treadmills next to each other, started chatting and got moving. No distractions, no weather worriesājust a steady pace and good company. It was a great reminder that fitness goals are easier (and more fun) when shared.
š¶ What Kept Us Going
Light conversation helped keep the rhythm. We even synced up our pace a few times, which made it feel like a mini raceāminus the competition.
š¬ Reflections
- Distance: 7.21 km feels like a strong start. Itās encouraging to see that number tick up.
- Mindset: Starting indoors gave us control over pace and environment, which helped ease into the challenge.
- Support: Having my wife there made a huge difference. Accountability and encouragement go a long way.
š Looking Ahead
Tomorrowās plan? Back to the gym, or maybe a walk outdoors if the weather cooperates. Either way, weāre keeping the momentum going and aiming to chip away at that 50K goal together.
Total Distance So Far: 7.21 km
Distance Remaining: 42.79 km
Thanks for following alongāmore updates to come as we walk our way through this challenge!
ShareFrom Pain to Power: Why Iām Walking 50km This September
Monday 28th Jul Just a year ago, I was struggling to do the simplest of things ā walking to the end of the street felt like a mountain. I was in pain every day, the kind that forces you to press pause on life. We didnāt know what was wrong, and that uncertainty was just as hard as the physical pain.Thank you to my Sponsors
