During the challenging days of the COVID pandemic, my family faced a heartbreak we never saw coming, my mom was diagnosed with cancer. The pain of being separated from her, unable to travel or hold her hand through it all, was deeply devastating. You never imagine something so life-altering will touch your own family until it does, and everything shifts.

That’s why this charity campaign holds such profound meaning for us. It’s more than a cause, it’s a way to honour resilience, love, and the quiet strength that carries us through the darkest times. Even the smallest act of support brings light, and being able to contribute, even in a modest way, fills me with hope. Yesterday I did my first steps towards my goal, walked side by side with family, our spirits unshaken by the rain - that dared to challenge our determination. And just when the clouds began to part, the sky gifted us a breathtaking double rainbow—a radiant reminder that perseverance, especially when shared with loved ones, always leads to something beautiful.
