My reasoning for doing the 50k in September Charity walk

Monday 11th Aug
Hi my name is Conor I’m 51yrs old and I now live in Cowdenbeath but spent the first 40 years of my life in Falkirk and will always be a Falkirk Bairn at heart. I decided to do this walk because last year in June I did the 2km a day for Anthony Nolan and I surprised myself as I have bad Arthritis in both my legs but I actually managed to more than double it(still feeling it now but I’ll be fine by September) Aldo my mother had breast cancer when I was really young 4 yrs old but she beat it after having a mastectomy only for it to return years later this time cancer of the womb which a vasectomy saved her again for it to come a third time in the form of skin cancer but again my super mum got the all clear but you are too afraid to celebrate after what we’d watch my mum got the all through but she was so healthy, working full time, had her own car and how she loved that car as my mum didn’t pass her test till in her 50’s and she was so pleased but in her mid 60’s my mum developed an inviolable very rare brain disease called CBD(Corticobasel degeneration or Corticobasel syndrome and I was so angry with the World for so long because you think she’s been through the worst it can’t get any worse than Cancer bug it did, I almost felt like God was watching saying beat this then and I know he would never do such a thing but things like this shake your faith to the core. My mum passed away on the 30/07/2009 it’s just been her 16th anniversary of her passing I love you mum always and forever so this is why I do what I can body allowing and g to hat is not an excuse by the way I’m in pain 95% of the time but I need to try. Good luck everyone let’s do this!!!! 🫶❤️💪
