Walk 50K in September
This September, I’m taking on the Walk 50K Challenge for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. Most people will be spreading their 50km across the whole month but I’ve decided to do it differently. I’ll be walking my entire commute from Essex to London, all in one go - about 11 hours on my feet.
Cancer has touched people very close to me, and I’ve seen the impact it has not just on those going through treatment, but on their families too. Taking on this challenge feels like a small way I can contribute - raising awareness, showing support, and helping to fund the work that makes such a difference.
The Royal Marsden is one of the world’s leading cancer centres. The money we raise will help fund pioneering research, clinical trials, and cutting-edge treatments, giving hope and time to so many people facing cancer.
It’s going to be a tough day (I’m expecting plenty of blisters and very tired legs), but knowing it’s for such an important cause will keep me moving.
