Iām taking part in this challenge to support The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. They ensure The Royal Marsdenās world-leading nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world.
AsĀ most of you are aware, I was diagnosed with secondary breast cancerĀ just over a year ago, unfortunately this had spread to my bones.Ā Ā The pioneering work that Royal MarsdenĀ carry out has meant there areĀ new treatments thatĀ Ā help control my cancer andĀ Ā when those stop working there maybe others available to me.Ā I cannotĀ Ā described what this means to me, my family and friends - but can say that it definitely extends my life.Ā For this I amĀ Ā so grateful, and would be prepared to walk a thousand miles!Ā
